It's back, with a twist! DJ ellafine and DJ senseless are pleased to bring you the synthpop vs. synthwave edition of EDGES! What exactly does that mean? Well, that's part of the fun of it. In one corner, we have the veteran Synthpop - spanning many decades, but focused primarily on the 80s (and mixed with a healthy dose of darkwave.) In the other we have Synthwave, the retrofuturist 80s throwback from the mid-10s. Who will be the winner? Does it actually matter? What even is synthwave? What's the difference between synthpop and new wave? All these questions and more will be answered (maybe); plus lasers!
