DOSES is a producer and songwriter who laces together hip-hop, indie, and soul into an intricate hybrid genre. The ease with which live instrumentation, vocal harmonies, and sampling all factor into DOSES’ songs marks an inquisitive musical mind, one that bucks constraints and seeks to astonish.
An acoustic singer/songwriter steeped in the world of R&B, hip-hop and neo-soul, Xander Anim is a former spoken word poet turned musician with a sultry sound and a knack for lyricism and artistry. Yet Xander Anim is not exactly who you think he is. His influences include Metallica, Erykah Badu, Childish Gambino and the unceasing rhythm of the moon and stars.
Dave Randall, aka Captain Smooth, is a Madison dj, producer, and musician who specializes in live looping to create groovy soundscapes consisting of multiple musical genres including space-funk, house, trip-hop, dub and more. He's also the leader of local bands Red Rose and Dub Foundation.
