Visit the ancient Effigy Mounds on top of the prominent hill at Pheasant Branch Conservancy. Capture the stunning view from the top of the hill with your camera or memory!
We'll also explore the sacred springs that feed 2.6 million gallons of water a day into the Pheasant Branch marsh. Travel 2 miles to Gov Nelson State Park and walk the winding trail by the water spirit mounds. Total three miles walking, sometimes uphill. Dress appropriately for weather and hiking. Bring lunch and beverage. Afterwards, we'll stop at the historic Stamm House. RSVP is requested (but not required): call 608-356-3556.

Location: Meet at the main entrance to Pheasant Branch Conservancy at 10:00; 4864 Pheasant Branch Road, Middleton, WI 53562 or carpool/caravan from Baraboo, WI 53913, meeting at 8:45am at the corner of 6th Ave. and Broadway in the church parking lot.
