media release: Centro is happy to announce the return of the beloved Tres Reyes Celebration, a cherished tradition that brings families together to celebrate the magic of the Tres Reyes. Join us this Saturday, January 18, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at our new home: Calli located at 2403 Cypress Way. 

This joyous event is made possible by the generous support of United Way of Dane County, Toys for Tots, Madison Reading Project, Target, UNITS of Madison, Prospanica, agency partners, valued community members, and volunteers. The Tres Reyes Celebration welcomes children and families from all backgrounds to reconnect with their cultural roots in a warm and inviting environment. 

More than just a celebration, this gathering offers an opportunity to embrace our heritage, instill a sense of pride, and strengthen cultural identity. Families will enjoy festive activities, delicious treats, and the excitement of gift-giving—a tradition that honors children as the bright future of our community. No registration needed. Start the new year with us and experience the magic of this special day! 

Activities: 

Rosca de Reyes: Enjoy the delectable sweetness of "Rosca de Reyes," a traditional holiday pastry.  

Hot Cocoa: Warm up with a cup of “chocolate caliente,” creating the perfect winter ambiance. 

Gifts for Kids: Every child will receive a special present, spreading joy and excitement. 

Photos with the Tres Reyes: Capture the magic by taking a picture with our special community guests—the Tres Reyes. 

Face Painting: Families are welcome to participate in getting their face painted by our talented Centro team & volunteers.  

Gratitude Wall: Spread gratitude & cheer by writing or drawing a message to share with the community.  

El Payaso Ponky: Interact with Ponky the clown, as he makes balloon animals!  

About the Tres Reyes Celebration: 

The Tres Reyes Celebration at Centro is a time-honored tradition that has been bringing joy and connection to the Latinx community for 41 years. This annual event serves as a cultural anchor, where families can come together to celebrate, share stories, and create lasting memories. 

How to Participate: 

The Tres Reyes Celebration is open to all children and families, regardless of language or background. Families are encouraged to join Centro on January 18th, 2025 at 10 am for a day filled with cultural richness, festive delights, and the warmth of community spirit.
