Electronics Recycling

press release: Earth Day is on the horizon, and local businesses are partnering up to promote e-waste recycling in their community. On Sunday, April 22, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Madison, The Salvation Army and URT Solutions are giving people a low-cost opportunity to dispose of their unwanted electronics responsibly.
Help us spread this call to action. Americans produce roughly 2.4 million tons of e-waste every year, and 75% of that ends up in the landfill. Creating simple opportunities for people to dispose of their electronics helps our communities and environment for now and for the future.
If you join us on-site, 1-800-GOT-JUNK?’s John Patterson can show your audience how to dispose of e-waste responsibly. He and his team are accepting electronics until their four trucks are full — the equivalent of 8,000 lbs of e-waste. URT Solutions will then recycle everything at cost at their facility in Janesville, with all proceeds benefiting The Salvation Army.
Sunday, April 22, 2018, 1pm - 4pm, The Salvation Army of Dane County, 3030 Darbo Dr.
