Faculty Research on Central Europe

Please join us for the first in our Spring Lecture Series: a showcase and celebration of CREECA faculty research focused on Central Europe. This roundtable discussion will feature faculty members Rachel F. Brenner, David S. Danaher, and Halina Filipowicz, and will be moderated by CREECA Director Ted Gerber. The Speakers:

Rachel F. Brenner is a Max and Frieda Weinstein-Bascom Professor of Jewish Studies and the author of The Ethics of Witnessing: the Holocaust in Polish Writers' Diaries from Warsaw, 1939-1945 (Northwestern University Press, 2014).

David S. Danaher is a Professor of Slavic Languages and Literature and the author of Reading Václav Havel (Toronto University Press, 2015).

Halina Filipowicz is a Professor of Slavic Languages and Literature and author of Taking Liberties: Gender, Transgressive Patriotism, and Polish Drama, 1786-1989 (Ohio University Press, 2015).
