press release: The Fine Constant is an instrumental progressive band from Madison, fronted by guitarist Sarah Longfield.
Pangaea is a Wisconsin-based five-piece that draws from numerous influences, creating music that appeals to all fans of heavy music. With this wide variety of musical influences, Pangaea brings elements from all styles of music together into one eclectic piece of art. Their debut EP entitled, “Unified,” experiments with combining progressive yet crushing breakdowns and technical melodic riffs with colorful vocal harmonies that tastefully complement dynamic underlying guitar passages. Unafraid to experiment, Pangaea doesn’t force all of its focus on heaviness or technicality. Rather, the band strives to write songs that are authentic and inventive, with hopes to guide heavy music in a new direction. 5.29.15 saw the release of the band's sophomore album "Roots" which expanded on the sound that they created with Unified. Since Roots, Pangaea has toured around the county and has begun to make a name for itself in the heavy, progressive music world. The band is currently writing for their 3rd album.
Growing is a melodic metalcore band from Madison. Being influenced by bands such as The Color Morale, Bring Me the Horizon, and Veil of Maya, these guys bring an intense live show with heavy, technical, yet catchy and melodic music accompanied with a bright and colorful light show.
