The Fleshtones, New Duncan Imperials, Ultrabomb
High Noon Saloon 701A E. Washington Ave., Madison, Wisconsin 53703
media release: Since forming in Queens in 1976, The Flestones have remained one of rock ‘n roll’s most enduring and beloved live acts, earning a reputation for sweat-soaked performances, infectious grooves, and a devotion to the raw spirit of rock music that has inspired generations of fans and musicians. Over five decades, the band has released a celebrated catalog of albums while becoming fixtures in New York’s downtown music culture and the international garage rock scene.
They have also been the subject of books (Sweat by Joe Bonomo), movies (Pardon Us For Living But The Graveyard’s Full, 2009), played with Ian McKellen on Andy Warhol’s MTV program Andy Warhol’s Fifteen Minutes, and were the last band to publicly perform at the World Trade Center’s Windows on the World.
“Since 1976 they’ve played garage rock in a way entirely their own and show no signs of stopping with that – even in their 5th decade of releasing music.” - New Noise Magazine
