Fore the Love of Felines
The Oaks Golf Course, Cottage Grove 4740 Pierceville Road, Cottage Grove, Wisconsin 53527
media release: The Fur Seasons Cat Rescue will host its Fore the Love of Felines Charity Golf Outing on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, at The Oaks Golf Course in Cottage Grove, bringing the community together for a day of golf while raising funds to give rescued cats safety, healing and a path to loving homes.
The 18-hole scramble begins with registration at 8:30 a.m. followed by a 9:30 a.m. start. Golfers can register individually for $150 or as a foursome for $600. Registration includes 18 holes of golf with cart, use of the driving range before play and lunch following the outing.
Proceeds from the event will benefit The Fur Seasons, a Madison-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue founded by Tom and Amy McGuire. The organization provides a peaceful, home-like sanctuary for abandoned and abused cats, including cats rescued locally and from the Middle East.
“Our goal has always been to give cats who have already endured so much the time, care and dignity they need to heal,” said Amy McGuire, co-founder of The Fur Seasons. “This outing is a chance for people to have a great day together while directly helping us continue that work.”
Unlike a traditional shelter environment, The Fur Seasons provides its feline “guests” with free-roaming spaces, veterinary care, enrichment and time to decompress before being matched with their forever homes.
Golf registration is available through the Fore the Love of Felines event registration page. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
