Form Fits Function
Black Earth Children's Museum 1131 Mills St., Black Earth, Wisconsin 53515
media release: UW-Madison’s Biocore Outreach Ambassadors will be visiting our museum on Saturday, October 10, at 10 am for an interactive presentation on Form Fits Function. Many times the structure of something, that is, the way it’s shaped, is so it can perform a certain function. For example, you scoop things with a spoon and poke things with a fork. The same thing happens in nature! Fish have fins to swim through water, while birds have wings to fly through air. This is a fun opportunity for kids to have a hands-on experience with science. Kids will try to move different objects, like marbles, marshmallows, styrofoam peanuts and more with different utensils. Biocore Outreach Ambassadors make science fun and engaging. $6 admission per person.
