UW Union South-The Sett 1308 W. Dayton St., Madison, Wisconsin 53706
press release: Gentle Brontosaurus is releasing their debut album, "Names of Things and What They Do", bringing a mix of sharp lyricism, danceable grooves, and unabashed fun to their throwback indie-pop sound. Come catch them live, and take an artifact home with you.
And helping midwife this album into public hands:
Owls, Foxes and Sebastian create a clever union of energy and quirky camaraderie, collecting enticing guitar riffs in the style of Modest Mouse, the presentation of the Smiths, and the poppy hooks of the Killers. This Madison band started writing songs together in 2009, and released their first album, Lanterns, in fall 2012.
The Flavor That Kills is a Madison band summoned from the darkness in 2012. They released their album Pablo's Hippos in 2014. If you listen to it backwards, you can press play and listen to it again.
Little Legend, also from Madison, play a mix of '50s rockabilly and '90s grunge. Their ultimate form dates back to 2011, though they have been incarnated in various eras.
