press release: Gerry Burns at one time was a member of the Madison cover band, Chunky Pie, that was very popular in the '70s. He was also a member of Madcity Rangers and Horsefeathers before moving to the Austin, Texas, area. During his early days in Texas, Gerry was a member of the touring bands for Hal Ketchum, Junior Brown and Gary P. Nunn. He has his own band that plays bluegrass, pop, country as well as a Grateful Dead cover band known as Gerry's Kids.
