Global Impact Musician Program Fundraiser
UW Hamel Music Center-Collins Recital Hall 740 University Ave., Madison, Wisconsin 53706
media release: Taya König-Tarasevich, the new Director of the Madison Early Music Festival, would like to extend her heartfelt thanks for your continued support. MEMF was a great success, and it truly would not have happened without you being there for us, both in person and virtually.
She is honored to personally invite you to a special fundraising event on February 19 at 7:30 pm in Collins Recital Hall at the Hamel Music Center in support of the Global Impact Musician (GIM) Program.
GIM is a cross-cultural collaboration with the Mead Witter School of Music that brings together artists from East Africa and UW-Madison to create innovative projects exploring how music intersects across sectors.
The event includes live performances by Dan Cavanagh, piano, and Sarah Brailey, soprano, and a panel discussion with Dr. Wanjiku Mwotia, former UN translator, and Harry Kiiru, UW-Madison PhD candidate in African cultural studies.
