press release: The 15th annual Great Lakes Brew Fest (GLBF) will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, from 3-6:30 pm at the Racine Zoo, 2131 N. Main St.
Enjoy unlimited sampling of more than 450 craft beers, ciders, meads, and hard sodas from more than 100 breweries inside the Zoo while enjoying the breeze and scenery of Lake Michigan.
Returning to the festival is the ever popular and growing Home Brew Island featuring 17 Midwestern home brew clubs sampling beers, meads and ciders. In addition, we’ll have the huge cider tent and more hard soda vendors joining us again.
Get out your capes and boots-- whether you go as Superman, Wonder Woman, or Duffman, the 2018 theme is Superheroes!
General Admission tickets cost $50. VIP tickets are $90 and include early entry to the fest at 2 pm, VIP lanyard, special beer pourings and appetizers during the VIP hour, and either a VIP stein or VIP bottle of Special Edition Black Kilt Stout brewed just for GLBF’s anniversary (choose at checkout). VIP Designated Driver tickets are $29. NEW Gold Pass Tickets include early entry without the other VIP perks. GA Designated Driver tickets cost $18 and must be purchased with a GA ticket.
The Great Lakes Brew Fest has focused on being the Great Lakes region’s premier beer sampling event benefiting the Racine Kilties Drum & Bugle Corps, a Racine institution and one of the oldest drum and bugle corps in the country.
The festival is open to those 21 and older. All festival attendees will be provided with a souvenir tasting glass. Local area restaurant food will be sold and live music will be performed, including a performance by the Kilties Drum & Bugle Corps.
