Great Taste of the Midwest Pre-Party

World of Beer will be tapping the following on Friday, starting at 4 pm:

1. metropolitan heliostat zwickel lager: Zwickel style lager conditioned in a cask. Includes plenty of hausgeschmack for the Stammtisch.

2. Goose Island Halia is a sour peach saison aged in wine barrels with Brettanomyces Claussenii and fifty pounds of peaches per barrel

3:Crafted Watermelon Gose: Pours pale pale gold and crystal clear with an almost nonexistent white head. Aroma is crazy - briney watermelon rind and some well worn sweaty socks! Taste is amazing! Sweet honey comes first and is quickly followed by fermented watermelon. The saltiness kicks in for a unique finish.

4:Almanac Tangerine De Brettaville: Tangerine de Brettaville celebrates the flavors of citrus in beer.  We start by brewing a funky brettanomyces fermented base beer in large oak foeders, where the brett yeast creates farmhouse flavors and aromas.  We layer on California-grown tangerines and oranges for big citrus flavors, balancing tropical peel aromas and a hint of citrus bitterness.  Finally, we finish the beer with a generous dry hop of Citra, adding one more layer of citrus aroma to create a complex offering.
