media release: Middleton Community Church UCC is hosting a Safe Firearm Surrender from 9:00 am-Noon on Saturday, June 15th. Please remain in your car to be greeted as you enter the parking lot at 645 Schewe Road (along Old Sauk just two miles west of the beltline) to safely and anonymously surrender your unloaded firearm.
Safe Surrender is part of the “Guns to Gardens” movement, which works to reduce gun violence by reducing the number of guns in homes and communities. Unwanted guns are dismantled, and the leftover parts are forged into garden tools. Ammunition is not accepted.
