With the new album The Crisis Knows No Borders, Chicago-based drummer and composer Gustavo Cortiñas explores global interconnectedness and concerns such as climate change, poverty and forced migration. The album features a stellar ensemble of improvisors: violinist Mark Feldman, saxophonist Jon Irabagon, and guitarist Dave Miller, all of whom will be on hand for the album’s local live debut at this BlueStem Jazz concert.
