Hamilton’s America
press release: Join other Hamilton fans in a public airing of the PBS documentary Hamilton’s America, which brings history to vivid life through the lens of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Broadway phenomenon Hamilton. Hamilton’s America delves deep into the creation of the show, revealing Miranda’s process of absorbing and then adapting Hamilton’s epic story into groundbreaking musical theater. Enjoy newly shot footage of the New York production with its original cast and trips to historic locations with Miranda and other cast members! Also partake in a Founder’s Fizz from the cash bar; the drink they serve at the Richard Rogers Theater, the original Hamilton venue on Broadway.
Before the documentary, learn the historical truth of this fascinating man who rose from anonymity on a small Caribbean island to the corridors of power and the founding of our great country. John P. Kaminski, editor of the new book Alexander Hamilton: From Obscurity to Greatness, will share a remarkable collection of quotations by, and about, the real man behind the popular new musical. A book signing will follow.
