Haunted History of Madison
Pinney Library 516 Cottage Grove Road, Madison, Wisconsin 53716
Discover the haunted history of Madison, Wisconsin with our 90-minute ghost talk. Expect to meet the colorful characters, vengeful spirits, monsters, and stories of the people who love Madison so much that even death can’t stop them from staying in the city! Madison Ghost Walks was founded on the notion that every town has a certain kind of history and folklore, and learning about that history can not only make living there more exciting, but can strengthen and deepen people's relationships with their communities. Currently in its fifth season, Madison Ghost Walks has been featured in Isthmus weekly, Madison magazine, NBC 15, and WTDY 1670AM, and people now call the ghostline not only to book tours, but to relay their own supernatural and weird experiences. This event is offered as part of a series of workshops at Dane County Libraries titled Eerie Tales: a Glance Back and a Look Ahead at Horror Fiction. This series is funded in part by Beyond the Page, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Madison Community Foundation.
