The Head & the Heart
It’s crazy to think this award-winning indie folk band met at an open mic in Seattle. Almost a decade later, The Head and The Heart have Billboard folk chart-topping albums like Signs of Light and Let’s Be Still, not to mention popular hits like “Rivers and Roads.” Get ready for their Every Shade of Blue Tour, with the ever-talented and ever-shaggy Shakey Graves opening both nights in Madison.
media release: The Head And The Heart have announced the Every Shade of Blue 2022 North American Tour which includes a stop at The Sylvee in Madison, on Monday, October 3, and Tuesday, October 4. Special guests joining the band in select cities include Shakey Graves, Dawes and Jade Bird.
“It’s wild to think that by the time we get back on the road this year, it will have been over 2 and a half years since we last toured,” says the band. “We’re so excited to bring new songs to life on stage every night, traveling alongside artists who inspire us. We can’t wait to get out there, doing what we do with an even greater sense of gratitude.”
The Head And The Heart have released their fifth studio album Every Shade of Blue on Reprise/Warner Records. It is available to stream/purchase here.
Of the album, Charity Rose Thielen wrote:
“The past few years have been nothing if not transitional. The people we were at the beginning of the pandemic are not the same ones writing this now. Every Shade of Blue is a collection of songs that celebrates the beautiful mess that we were during this time of transformation. For us it represents that constant dance between the head and the heart, the push and pull of different ideas and voices that add up to be greater than the sum of their parts. It is a record that tries its best to reconcile who we once were with who we are now and hope one day to become.”
