LIVE ON KING STREET UPDATE: Here Come the Mummies Rescheduled for August 23.
Unfortunately, a Here Come The Mummies band member has been in an accident and sustained a few injuries. None are life-threatening, but they are serious enough that they are unable to play at Live on King Street this Friday, July 19. Fortunately, we were able to reschedule for August 23, so the party is still on! And don’t worry, we still have live music this Friday. The People Brothers Band will perform a free show inside the air conditioned Majestic Theatre. Come on out and beat the heat with a set from one our favorite local outfits – Doors at 7pm, Show at 8pm.
Though they are named after ceremonial Egyptian corpses, this band is anything but rigid. On their latest track, “I Spy,” the band, made up of costumed anonymous players, sings about a clumsy Casanova trying to win someone’s affections, accompanied by a Latin jazz flair. Get there on time for an opening set by Madison’s soul experts, The People Brothers Band.
