media release: The Hill & Valley Exploration Tour is a self-guided tour of rural farms, businesses, historic sites & artist studios in Sauk & Juneau Counties occurring on the last two full weekends in September. The Venues on the HVETour sell their locally–made and locally-grown products year round, but for these two weekends, they roll out the red carpet for you! Learn where and how your food is grown and who grows it! Enjoy special events and activities. The Hill & Valley Exploration Tour is the perfect opportunity to experience country living first hand and buy directly from the folks that grow & make your local food, products, and art.
On the Hill & Valley Exploration Tour you will find local food, products, and art, learn about the changing face of rural America, dine at a true farm-to-fork country eatery, and find hidden gems. Don’t forget to bring your cooler to hold all your farm fresh finds, an extra sweater, and the mud boots; this is country fun — rain and shine!
