media release: Hilldale’s annual farmers market kicks off May 6 and will continue every Wednesday and Saturday from 8:00am-1:00pm through October 28 in the lot behind L.L.Bean, off of Segoe Road.

This year, Hilldale is excited to welcome several new vendors to the market, including Blu Haus Blooms (farm fresh flowers grown in Wisconsin’s Driftless Region), Hound It Down Bakery (premium, small batch, homemade baked goods), Supreme Seafood (fish, seafood), 2^nd Breakfast Bakery (pastries, muffins, croissants), and Air Joe Farms (microgreens and more). They join dozens of additional vendors offering Wisconsin cheese, locally grown produce, meat and eggs, bakery items, gourmet pet food and treats and more. The vendors vary from week to week throughout the season.

“We’re excited to welcome our new vendors, bringing even more variety to our market, which our guests love. Plus, at our market there’s easy access to parking; there’s no need to walk long distances to get to the heart of the action,” said Nanci Horn, general manager of Hilldale. “You can spend an hour here, or an entire morning. It’s all very easy to navigate. And well-behaved, leashed dogs are always welcome!”

Hilldale has long worked to build a pet-friendly reputation and is home to 33 stores and restaurants who happily welcome dogs. Shop for toys, collars and more at L.L. Bean, Ace Hardware and The University Book Store, find doggie beds at Twigs, and swing by Gigi’s Cupcakes for fresh-baked pup-friendly treats. Restaurants like Café Hollander, Dumpling Haus, Great Dane, Blended, Forage Kitchen and Shake Shack, all welcome your four-legged friends on their patios.
