media release: Hilldale’s annual farmers market kicks off May 3 and will continue every Wednesday and Saturday from 8:00am-1:00pm through October 29 in the lot behind L.L.Bean, off of Segoe Road. This year, Hilldale is excited to welcome several new vendors to the market, including Alhambra Flower Farm, Chelle’s Pop Shop (kettle corn), Keller Farms, YallaDips (Mediterranean fare like hummus, pita chips and toum) and Noellie’s Deli, a gluten-free bakery! Market favorites like El Sabor de Puebla, Donna’s Sweet Honey & Beekeeper’s Bounty, Farmer John’s Cheese, Rolling Pin Bakery, Misty Meadows Farm and Nehmer’s Family Farm will be returning as well.

They join dozens of additional vendors offering Wisconsin cheese, locally grown produce, meat, bakery items, plants, herbs, microgreens and more. The vendors vary from week to week throughout the season.

To celebrate the first market on May 3, Hilldale will be giving away floral stems from new vendor Alhambra Flower Farm to the first 50 guests to enter the market, courtesy of Hilldale. There will also be live music from local musician Kevin Schneider from 8:30-11:00am, and attendees can enter an on-site raffle for a chance to win $50 to spend at a future market.

“This is a very relaxed, stress-free market: easy to park, walkable and you can find pretty much anything you’re looking for from a lot of friendly faces!” said Nanci Horn, general manager of Hilldale. “We’ve got some great new additions we know people are going to love, plus all the favorites that’ll be back too.”

Well-behaved, leashed dogs are always welcome at the market.
