press release: The Wisconsin Union Directorate Film Committee presents the Directress Film Festival: Girls Just Wanna Make Film, a weekend-long showcase, highlighting the best of recent independent, international, and documentary cinema directed by women. The festival lineup features new independent documentaries and narratives making their Madison premieres, as well as recently released films that have not yet screened on campus. In addition the festival will highlight a 35mm screening of Anna Biller’s The Love Witch.
Doors open 30 minutes before each film begins. Films are free, as always, and open to the public. Audiences are seated on a first come, first served basis (no saving seats).
