media release: Madison College invites Native artists to submit work for its 2026 Native November Art Show, “Indigenous Wisconsin: Beyond Acknowledgement,” on display Nov. 9–Dec. 11, 2026.
The exhibition invites artists to explore what comes after a land acknowledgment — moving beyond recognizing the Indigenous lands on which we live and work to consider the relationships, responsibilities and connections that follow.
The exhibition will bring together Indigenous artists whose work is rooted in reciprocal relationships with the lands and waters of Wisconsin — relationships expressed through material, memory, language, story and practice.
Native artists with work that speaks to Indigenous relationships with land, water, place, memory, language, community or continuity are encouraged to submit.
Submission deadline: Oct. 9, 2026

Artists are encouraged to submit early. Exhibition capacity is limited, and submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
