Kristen Berman is a co-founder and principal at Common Cents Lab, a Duke University initiative dedicated to improving the financial well-being for low-to-moderate-income Americans. Prior to co-founding the Common Cents Lab, she worked as a senior product manager at Intuit and at camera startup Lytro. She was on the founding team for the behavioral economics group at Google and has co-authored a series of workbooks called Hacking Human Nature for Good, A practical guide to changing behavior, which are being used at companies worldwide for business strategy and design work. Berman graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with degrees in marketing, economics and business and went on to receive her MBA from Stanford University through the prestigious Stanford Ignite Certification.
