media release: The Textile Arts Center of Madison (TAC) is pleased to announce the opening of its new exhibition, Interwoven, an annual show of TAC members that celebrates the exciting and wide range of fiber art practice in our community through more than 100 artworks. The exhibition will be on view at TAC from October 29 through December 13, 2025. (Location and hours listed below.)
Interwoven honors TAC’s supporters, giving every TAC member an opportunity to exhibit one of their recent fiber artworks. Works exhibited represent a broad variety of fiber art techniques and materials; techniques include quilting, machine and hand sewing, applique, weaving, knitting, embroidery, punch needle, felting, hand dyeing, crochet, caning, papermaking, and more.
Elizabeth Tucker, TAC’s executive director, recognizes the exhibition is a community favorite. “Interwoven is an exciting annual exhibition for TAC for many reasons. It celebrates the artworks and the support of our valued members. It is popular among audiences because there is so much variety - there’s something for everyone! And, it acknowledges equally the work of TAC members who have been practicing artists for decades alongside those whose journey as makers and artists is only just beginning.”
This year's exhibition will feature work by 102 local artists. A complete list of participating artists in online at www.textileartsmadison.org/exhibitions-events/interwoven2025
TAC will celebrate the opening of Interwoven with a public reception on Friday, November 7 from 5-9pm. This event is free and open to the public. TAC’s public hours for viewing the exhibition are Wednesday through Friday from noon-4pm and Saturdays from 10am-2pm, October 29 through December 13, 2025.
