Islam, Muslims and the West

Madinah Community Center (MCC) is hosting an event, “Islam, Muslims, and the West: ISIL-Our Common Enemy” on Saturday, January 23 between 1 pm and 3:30 pm at the Monona Terrace (Level 4, Room 4).

Speakers include elected officials and law enforcement officers: Massod Akhtar (panel moderator, advisor to the Muslim Community), Alhagie Jallow (MCC Imam), Paul Soglin (mayor of Madison), Samba Baldeh (City of Madison Common Council), Joe Parisi (Dane County Executive), Ismael Ozanne (Dane County District Attorney), Mark Pocan (US Congressman), John Vaudreuil (US Attorney for Western District of Wisconsin, US Dept. of Justice), David Mahoney (Dane County Sheriff), Greg Neumann (political reporter, WKOW 27), and an FBI agent.

You will also have the opportunity to learn about your rights in this country directly from the law enforcement officers. Please bring your spouses and also encourage your friends, neighbors, coworkers to attend. Only kids above 10 are allowed.

Please arrive by 12:30pm and fill up the room with capacity of 300 people by no later than 1 pm so that we can start our meeting sharply at 1 pm.
