MEET JAMES SHULKIN!
There’s a lot going on in his one-of-a-kind sculptural pieces. Inspired by the beauty, strength, warmth, resilience, and joy of women and nature, he brings those ideas to life using insulation foam, handmade paper, fabric, ribbon, yarn, botanicals, feathers, paint, found objects, and just about anything else that helps tell the story. Each piece is finished with an uplifting or empowering message, adding another layer of meaning to these colorful and wonderfully unexpected creations.
A self-taught artist living in Madison, he has been making art for years and has explored everything from painted furniture and floor cloths to driftwood assemblages and garden windmills. His current folk art sculptures began in 2023, including the animal-themed pieces you’ll find at Art Hub. He is also a juried member of both the 14 South Artists Group and the Madison Art Guild.
Mark your Calendars! Swing by and check out this show. There will be light hors d'oeuvres during the opening.
Experience all that Art Hub has to offer, community, atmosphere, amazing art, and good vibes.
