Japanese Bookmaking
press release: Learn a variety of traditional Japanese bookbinding techniques, also known as: Japanese Stab Binding.
Popular in Japan since the 14th century, these simple hand-sewn and hand-made Fukuro Toji (pouch binding) books are assembled without glue. Participants will learn to make books using a basic 4-Hole binding, and a more decorative Tortoise Shell binding.
All supplies provided.
