It is a bit ironic that Jerry's book Never Curse the Rain is being rescheduled due to FREEZING rain.
Please join us on Sunday, January 29 at 2 pm at the Midvale Community Church.
press release: Top-selling rural-life author Jerry Apps celebrates the New Year with the Jan. 11 launch of his newest book, Never Curse the Rain: A Farm Boy's Reflections on Water, at 6:30 p.m. at Midvale Community Lutheran Church, 4329 Tokay Blvd., Madison, 53711. Apps will share some of his water-related memories, from the importance of water to crops, cattle, and survival on the farm to the many recreational uses for water -- fishing trips, canoe journeys, and the simple pleasures of an afternoon spent dreaming in the haymow as the rain patters on a barn roof. The event is free and open to the public. A book signing will follow. “Never Curse the Rain” is published by the Wisconsin Historical Society Press.
