Free. Hop Garden shows take place in the adjacent Mill Park during the summer months.
from John Duggleby's newsleter: It’s my Fifth Annual Paddy’s Blowout at The Hop Garden in Paoli. The Taproom in the Old Mill replicates an Irish pub perfectly, to accompany my Celtic-flavored ditties from around the world and across time—Robert Burns to Bruce O’Springsteen (the Boss is part Irish). And the usual merriment will be supercharged with a appearance by my dear friend, collaborator, personal maestro and former San Francisco Opera tenor Codrut Birsan. Although I won’t sing Danny Boy—and wrote a song to prove it—Codrut will rattle the limestone walls with his rendition. Paddy meets Pavarotti—don’t miss it!
With any Irish luck, I’ll be able to entice some other talented friends to take a turn onstage as well. And I myself will do my darndest to evoke tears of sadness (“Colleen Malone”, “Green Fields of France”, my own “Sunflowers (for Ukraine”) to hilarity via the likes of my postCovid rewrite of “Seven Old Ladies”, inspired by the bathroom tissue shortage of the early days of quarantine. I promise it will be better than this crappy (pun intended) video I sang into my computer right after I wrote it: https://www.youtube.com/
