Guitarist Kenny Reichert is comfortable playing and composing in various styles of music, but is perhaps most familiar to Midwest jazz audiences as a bandleader on his own projects and as a player on notable recordings such as Johannes Wallmann's acclaimed Love Wins album. A Brookfield native, Reichert is currently based in Chicago while working toward a master's degree in jazz studies at DePaul. He reconvenes his eponymous quartet with Tony Barba, John Christensen and Devin Drobka for a BlueStem Jazz concert featuring new compositions by the group. Check ticket availability here.

Kenny Reichert is a guitarist, composer, and educator based in Chicago, IL. A native of Brookfield, Wisconsin, Kenny began his study of classical piano at age 5 and guitar at age 12. He began his jazz studies with local guitar veteran Roger Brotherhood and joined the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra and Wisconsin Conservatory of Music jazz programs. After attending Berklee College of Music, Kenny returned to Milwaukee and finished his studies in Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Music in Jazz Studies at DePaul University. Kenny is an active performer and bandleader, having performed alongside many great artists in the Midwest jazz scene including Russ Johnson, Johannes Wallmann, Tony Barba, Devin Drobka, John Christensen, Anthony Deutsch, Fred Boswell Jr., and Kevin Hayden. He has been featured on recordings like Johannes Wallmann’s Love Wins, Ian Ewings’ Overnight, and Fred Boswell Jr.'s True Improv, Vol. 1. He self-released his debut record Interpretations in 2015.
