When Tom Gabel started Against Me! in 1997, few expected it to grow into the massively influential punk rock juggernaut it is today. After coming out as transgender to Rolling Stone in 2012, Tom Gabel now goes by the name Laura Jane Grace and has become an outspoken, public face for a severely marginalized group.
