Driftless Music Gardens presents A Night at the Gardens with bluegrass favorites The Infamous Stringdusters, Leftover Salmon and the Kitchen Dwellers, on Saturday July 19, 2025. This bridge burning trio is taking their Rowdy Summer Nights tour to the beautiful rolling hills of Yuba, WI. Setting itself apart from DMG’s flagship multi day festivals, A Night at the Gardens offers a different kind of show experience. Make the beautiful drive and come early to enjoy the magic of the gardens while soaking in the Summer sun. Wander around the grounds and check out merch from the bands and the venue, grab a snack and a beer before finding a spot in the grass to see a stellar show. Park in General parking and head home safely after the show, or book a camping spot and make a weekend out of it!
Kicking the night off is Montana-based quad, the Kitchen Dwellers. They are not newbies at our gardens, and we just love the way their songs echo through the trees. Bringing the life of their music onto our new stage, this opening set will launch you into an evening of bliss! Fast picking banjo combines with thoughtful storytelling and sometimes a psychedelic twist, the Kitchen Dwellers will be your new favorite band.
When bands last through decades, you know they’re the real deal. Hitting stops on the tour bus for 35 years, Leftover Salmon brings their wild ride back to the driftless! Bluegrass wouldn’t be the same without these fine gentlemen, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Bringing the heat with a mix of strings and drums will make that chair in the grass seem obsolete for a foot-stomping 90 minutes. Veterans of bluegrass and americana, we are honored to have them back!
Closing the night is GRAMMY Award winning group, The Infamous Stringdusters! Fresh off the wave of releasing their 24-track album, the Dusters are going to throw down! Known for their intense improv jams, the Dusters reach fans young and old for a blast of joy you won’t forget.
So bring the kids, leave the pets with a sitter, and come to A Night at the Gardens.
Let’s Party About it, Leftover Salmon’s new album, out May 9 via Compass Records, reaffirms their status as pioneers of blended bluegrass and showcases their unmatched musical chemistry. For the first time ever, the band wrote the album together in a single session as a group. Longtime friend of the band and storied songwriter Aaron Raitiere (Lady Gaga, Lukas Nelson, Ella Langley, Lainey Wilson, Anderson East, The Lone Bellow, Trace Adkins, and more) also joined the band for the writing session. The resulting album captures the energy and camaraderie that have defined Leftover Salmon's three-and-a-half-decade-long career.
The album was recorded at Compass Sound Studio (formerly Glaser Sound Studio, aka “Hillbilly Central”), the iconic birthplace of Outlaw Country, with the band joined by special guests such as Del McCoury (vocals), Sam Bush (fiddle, mandolin), Jason Carter (fiddle), Jeff Coffin (saxophone), and more. The band captured an unmatched level of talent and energy, which shines through on every track.
Ahead of the release, Leftover Salmon shared “Big Wheel.” A song that Vince Herman (guitar, vocals) says has a very simple message, “The world keeps turning. Find a spot to watch it fly by and ride the wheel.”
The band also shared a new bluegrass song, “Twisted Pine” ft. Del McCoury. “‘Twisted Pine’ is my way of writing a Bluegrass song that sounds like an old traditional one,” explains Drew Emmitt (mandolin, vocals). “To me, it’s a metaphor for the changing seasons and life in general. ”
To help commemorate their 35th anniversary, Leftover Salmon will take their celebration to one of the most iconic venues in the country: Red Rocks Amphitheatre on May 26, 2025. This momentous concert will also feature rising bluegrass stars Kitchen Dwellers as a co-headliner, plus Clay Street Unit, along with special guests Bill Payne (Little Feat), Laurie Lewis, Jason Carter, AJ Lee and many more guest appearances before they embark on their Summer Tour with The Infamous Stringdusters and Kitchen Dwellers.
