Louis the Child
Performances from Robby Hauldren and Freddy Kennett — the duo Louis the Child — feature them side by side behind a DJ booth, pumping their hands to a mix of originals and pop remixes. Also on the bill: John the Blind, solo project of singer John Ryan (a frequent co-writer and co-producer for One Direction and a slew of artists in the same genre), who produces sugary, peppy pop. But who is not to be missed is the South L.A. rapper Duckwrth. Sometimes his rap is funk-infused, but on his latest album, 2019’s The Falling Man, he takes a turn toward somber industrial trap.

press release: Chicago-bred production duo Louis the Child have shared an unstoppably dynamic new single, “Too Close” ft. Wrabel. Released via Interscope Records, “Too Close” is available now through all digital retailers.
Drawing deep emotional power from the dreamy vocals of L.A.-based singer/songwriter Wrabel, “Too Close” begins in soulful, stripped-back intimacy before bursting into a high-energy dance track. With its haunting guitar tones and glossed-up beats, the track follows Louis the Child’s acclaimed EP Kids at Play — a 2018 release including their hit single “Better Not” ft. Wafia, which shot to #1 on the US iTunes Electronic charts.
Duckwrth releases his new single and video “Crush.” Speaking on the inspiration behind the track, Duckwrth shared via Billboard , “I'm a habitual crusher, I probably crush like 20 times a day, scrolling through socials. This song and video serves as my confessional. Pray for me.” Directed by Grizz Lee and Mancy Gant, the video captures chance encounters that turn into impromptu dance-offs as Duckwrth crushes on girls he meets around his neighborhood.
