When bassist Gordon Ranney passed away last month, Madison lost one of its most talented and generous players. A founding member of the Gomers, Ranney played in numerous local bands, many of which will be represented at this tribute show. The proceeds will go to Ranney’s wife, Jeanette, to cover medical and funeral expenses.

The life of Gordon Ranney, bass player in several area bands including longtime Madison rock band The Gomers, will be celebrated in a tribute benefit concert at The High Noon Saloon on Tuesday, April 12th at 9:00pm. The Gomers will host this show, “Love in the Key of G,” in lieu of their regularly scheduled weekly Rockstar Gomeroke slot.
Bands performing: The Gomers, PROG, Cement Pond, the droplets, with members of Steely Dane and VO-5, and other special guests scheduled to perform.
A suggested five dollar cover charge is requested. All proceeds will be given to Ranney’s wife Jeanette to help cover medical and funeral costs.
