Madison Bach Musicians will perform an intimate program of early English music including a special recognition in song honoring the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death. Hear the sounds of the lute, gut-string violins, viola da gambas, and the harpsichord, as the consort performs works by Locke, Byrd, and Purcell. Internationally acclaimed tenor Dann Coakwell will collaborate with lutenist David Walker in beautiful song sets by John Dowland and by Robert Johnson (c. 1583-1633).
