Madison Schools Closed

media release: Due to extreme cold temperatures, all MMSD schools will be closed Friday, Jan. 23, 2026.

• School will not be in session

• After-school activities are canceled

• Early childhood and 4K programming is canceled

• All MSCR programs, activities, and external MMSD facility rentals are canceled

• Athletic events, practices, and school co-curricular activities are canceled

This will be a traditional weather-related closure, not an at-home learning day.
