Madison Shakespeare Company Auditions

Madison Shakespeare Company is looking for actors and directors to complete the ensemble for An Evening's Affair 2. Ensemble members may act, direct, or both.

Auditions for An Evening's Affair 2 will be held December 17 and December 18 at First Baptist Church, 518 N. Franklin Ave. Please arrive at 7 PM.

Madison Shakespeare Company's anthology series An Evening's Affair returns with an all-new selection of stirring and shocking scenes from the canon. Built this time around the themes of betrayal and backstabbing, this second installment of An Evening's Affair explores the darker side of friendships, the inconstancy of love, and the instability of hatred.

Individuals interested in performing in the ensemble should come prepared to perform a Shakespearean sonnet of their choice. Memorization is encouraged but not required. You may also be asked to read from Shakespearean text. Please also come prepared to fill out a conflict calendar.

Individuals who wish to direct should be prepared to meet with the producers to discuss the format. Candidates who wish to direct only are encouraged to schedule a meeting appointment with the producer, Jason Compton, at jcompton@yahoo.com .
