Madison Theatre Guild is seeking actors for a new hard rock musical, co-written by local writers Dan Myers and Meghan Rose.. Direction by Jim Chiolino; Music Direction by Jennifer Hedstrom; Choreography by Heidi Hakseth
Sometimes it takes a wonderland to help you heal. A troubled young girl struggling to find herself falls down a rabbit hole to escape her reality. Alice is a modern hard rock musical take on the Lewis Carroll classic.
Performances will take place on the Drury Stage at the Bartell Theatre, 113 E. Mifflin Street, Madison. The show will run October 27 – November 5, 2016.
Two principal roles (The Worm/School Counselor & Kitten/Alice's Mom) are already cast. All other roles are available.
What to prepare: Prepare a hard rock song. This can be from a musical like Tommy, but it doesn't have to be. You will also read from the script. Please also bring a completed AUDITION FORM and a calendar marked with any conflicts. Audition form can be found at madisontheatreguild.org.
Casting Decisions: Casting decisions will be made as soon as possible. Please be patient. We will contact everyone by phone or e-mail. In addition, the cast list will be posted on the Madison Theatre Guild website shortly after people are notified. Rehearsals will begin after Labor Day (Sept 6) and will be four-five times per week, Sunday through Thursday.
