press release: Los Angeles-based rapper, animator, gamer and Nerdcore pioneer mc chris is announcing his next full length album – mc chris is dreaming (Sept. 30th), inspired by everyone’s favorite killer from Elm Street. mc chris is kicking things off with debut track “Freddy’s Dead.”

mc chris is dreaming sees the artist coming to grips with deep psychological issues, ranging from nightmares, hopes, fears, dreams and the inner workings of the mind.  The album also contains a story line about mc chris battling with the master of night terrors himself, Freddy Kruger (voice overs done by mc chris and fellow voice actor John Gelberling). Covering territory from uptempo disco to horror trap beats, mc chris is dreaming is an album that is both humorous and deeply personal.  It is this combination which separates this album from any of mc chris’s previous work.
