Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporter Meg Jones traveled to Iraq and to Afghanistan four times each as an embedded reporter with Wisconsin National Guard and Reserves troops between 2003 and 2014. Learn about her experiences as a wartime journalist on Thursday, September 15, from 7 to 8 p.m., at the Verona Public Library. She’ll discuss her writing about serving in war zones and how she continues to cover military and veterans issues on the home front. Jones’ book, World War II Milwaukee, will be available for sale and signing.
This presentation is offered in conjunction with the traveling exhibit Working Warriors: Military Life Beyond Combat, on display at the Verona Public Library from September 7 through October 6.
