A night of current and classic country
Headliner Megan Moroney is the rare artist to earn icon status soon after breaking onto the scene. With over 2.26 billion total global streams to date, the Georgia-bred singer/songwriter kicked off the latest era of her formidable career with her critically acclaimed sophomore album Am I Okay?, a July 2024 release that debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200, emerged as the year’s third-biggest debut from a female country artist, and won rave reviews from many of the music world’s leading publications (including Rolling Stone, The New York Times, Variety, Billboard, American Songwriter and more).
Am I Okay? continues the meteoric rise first set in motion with Tennessee Orange, a three-time Platinum No. 1 hit included on her 2023 blockbuster debut Lucky. Soon after Lucky’s arrival, Moroney began amassing a steady stream of accolades, including winning Breakthrough Female Video of the Year at the 2023 CMT Music Awards, MusicRow’s Breakout Artist of the Year at the 2024 CountryBreakout Awards, New Female Artist of the Year at the 2024 ACM Awards (where she reigned as the most nominated female artist with six nods), and New Artist of the Year at the 2024 CMA Awards, in addition to earning nominations for the People’s Choice Country, iHeart and Billboard Music Awards.
Bringing her notoriously dazzling live show to audiences all over, she’s played stadiums across the country as support for Kenny Chesney and taken the stage at high-profile festivals like Stagecoach and Lollapalooza.
Special guest Clint Black is not only a country music legend, but one of the most successful singer/songwriters of the modern era. Black’s debut album in 1989, Killin’ Time, produced five straight No. 1 singles on the US Billboard Hot Country Singles and Tracks charts. He followed that with a string of Platinum and Gold albums throughout the ’90s and wrote or co-wrote all his more than three dozen chart hits, including 22 No. 1 singles. Black has sold more than 20 million records and earned nearly two dozen major awards and nominations, including a GRAMMY. He also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Opening act Emily Ann Roberts is a rising country music star, with her first album, Can’t Hide Country released in 2023, showcasing her unique blend of traditional country and bluegrass roots. Fans were first introduced to her through 20 performances at the Grand Ole Opry, and by being chosen for Blake Shelton’s team on “The Voice,” even before graduating high school. She performed on his Back to the Honky Tonk tour.
The concert is part of the week-long American Family Insurance Championship activities beginning June 2, with tournament play June 6-8, this year for the first time at TPC Wisconsin, featuring player/host Steve Stricker.
Proceeds from the concert and championship are distributed by the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation to American Family Children’s Hospital and other local charities impacting families and children.
