media release: The Melharmony Foundation, a nonprofit organization headquartered in Middleton, Wisconsin, will present the 13th annual Melharmony Festival on October 3–4, 2026, at Oakwood Auditorium in Madison. This year’s festival, supported in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board, with funds from the state of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), will commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary.
Vanitha Suresh, the visionary behind the festival said, “Our theme - One Nation, Many Expressions seeks to highlight this great country’s achievements and contributions to the world of culture. We invite each and everyone to join us on both days for this multi-cultural music dance feast.”
The festival will celebrate the breadth of American musical creativity, from iconic American composers such as Aaron Copland to contemporary voices such as globally acclaimed maestro Chitravina N. Ravikiran and professor Anthony Brandt of Rice University, while bringing these works into dialogue with great masters from Eastern traditions.
Featuring participants from 14 states, the festival will bring together musicians, composers, dancers, and emerging and established artists in a celebration of American creativity. Through the meeting of Indian and Western artistic traditions, it reflects the spirit of “One Nation, Many Expressions”—distinct cultural voices retaining their identities while creating something meaningful together.
