press release: Each year as the holidays approach, the Junior League of Madison (JLM) hosts a shopping event, “Mistletoe Market,” that showcases unique gift ideas while also raising money to fulfill its mission of building a stronger community by empowering women and children. JLM works to make the event not just a great way to accomplish holiday shopping, but also a wonderful way to connect with area women and support community causes.

Entry is $5, and tickets may be purchased at the door.  Purchase of eight or more tickets may be made in advance by emailing mistletoemarket@juniorleagueofmadison.org. The event is open to the public, and beverages will be available for purchase.  

Madison's Mistletoe Market will include a wide range of merchandise and edibles from dozens of carefully selected area merchants. This one-stop-shopping event promises to make holiday shopping a weather-proof and celebratory holiday experience for attendees. All proceeds are used to fund JLM work in the community, which supports women and children with a focus on education.  

According to Junior League of Madison President Cammie Sorensen, this event will be part shopping opportunity and part social event and encourages attendees to bring a friend or family member. “We want this to become a holiday tradition you look forward to,” says Sorensen. “We will be featuring a collection of high quality gifts with the convenience of multiple vendors under one roof. Whether you love shopping or not, we promise you’ll have a good time.”
