egacy jam bands like moe. — whose history dates back to 1989 at the University at Buffalo — have survived because they bring a lot more to the stage than simply the ability to improvise over rhythmic grooves for extended periods of time. Just as likely to throw Motörhead or Deep Purple covers into its live sets as it is to include Jerry Garcia tunes, moe. has toured for more than 30 years and is still celebrating the 2020 release of 12th studio album, This Is Not, We Are, and the companion EP, Not Normal. Even more importantly, this year marks the return of original guitarist Chuck Garvey, who suffered a stroke in November 2021.
media release: This is a Reserved Seat Show. All ticketing is through Ticketmaster.
moe. is a one-of-a-kind band that has never been easily categorized. Their sonic adventurousness and tongue-in-cheek humor are distinctly and undeniably their own. Praised by American Songwriter for their “mind-bending musicality,” moe. is treasured for their mesmerizing musical synergy, unfettered showmanship, and smart, resonant songcraft. Their longevity is no doubt due to the family spirit shared between its members and its engaged fanbase, a bond that has been fortified through decades on the road. moe. has performed innumerable headline tours, international festival sets, music-themed cruises, and sold-out shows alongside countless household-name artists. They’ve also promoted and headlined multiple festivals of their own, including snoe.down and moe.down. The band’s vibrant blend of inventive musicality and genre-blurring is on full display on two recent releases, their 12th studio album, 'This Is Not, We Are,' and the 'Not Normal' EP.
The band just celebrated their 30th anniversary on the road, and the show follows the return of guitarist Chuck Garvey to the road after suffering a stroke last year, as well as the permanent addition of keyboardist Nate Wilson to the band.
