Red Sand Project
This ArtWorks for Freedom project is a conceptual photo and collaborative performance art project by Molly Gochman.
An exhibition of fine art prints documenting the project will be on display on the second floor of the Pyle Center, 702 Langdon St, Madison, WI 53706, from April 12 to 29.
A participatory sidewalk intervention. Passersby are invited to fill sidewalk cracks with red sand, then share an image of their transformation with the global community using the #RedSandProject. The installation asks us not to walk over and ignore the invisible and marginalized people in our communities – those most at risk of being enslaved and exploited for the profit of others. It asks us to reflect, connect, and take action against human trafficking. Location TBA.
