Sundays 9am - 1pm from May 7 through October 29. Located at Edgewood High School (2219 Monroe Street), we're a near westside community farmers’ market in Madison located within walking distance of several neighborhoods including Dudgeon-Monroe, Nakoma, Westmorland, Vilas, and Regent. The market is easily accessible by walking or biking. We have ample parking available for cars and bikes.
Our market features a variety of local products including fruits and veggies, pastured meats, cheeses, specialty items, gifts, food carts, and more.
The Monroe Street Farmers’ Market accepts EBT/SNAP and we participate in the Double Dollars program (starting June 15). Most vendors accept credit card payments, but some only accept cash. The nearest ATM is located on Monroe Street next to Neuhauser Pharmacy.
We love your dogs, but please do not bring them to the market. No dogs are allowed on the Edgewood Campus.

Community Action Coalition is thrilled to announce the return of its highly successful Double Dollars program for its milestone 10th year. Commencing on June 15 and running through October 15, this initiative presents customers in Madison and Dane County with an incredible opportunity to maximize their food budget while simultaneously supporting local farmers. The program, which originated in 2013 through a partnership between Dane County Farmers' Market, Community Action Coalition, Willy St. Co-op, the City of Madison, and Dane County, has grown to encompass a total of nine farmers' markets this year. Notably, two new additions, the Sun Prairie Farmers' Market and the Downtown Verona Farmers' Market, further enrich the program's reach and impact.
The primary objective of the Double Dollars program is to enhance access to and increase the purchase of nutritious produce for FoodShare recipients at local farmers' markets. By offering up to $20 of matched funds to be spent at the market, Foodshare participants can effectively stretch their SNAP/EBT benefits. Moreover, the program generates substantial support and expands the customer base for our esteemed local farmers who sell their produce at these markets.
Any individual who receives SNAP/EBT benefits can avail themselves of the Double Dollars program. Booths will be available at most farmers' markets in the greater Madison area, including:
• Dane County Farmers' Market on the Square
• Sun Prairie Farmers' Market (NEW)
• Downtown Verona Farmers' Market (NEW)
The Double Dollars program is made possible through individual contributions to the Community Action Coalition, donations to Willy St Co-Op, and the generous support of the City of Madison and Dane County.
